Are you interested in 3D modeling or 3D printing and are curious about how you might harness this incredibly useful skill for your needs? This workshop is for you! Come join us at Ramsess Art Garden for a hands-on workshop where we'll dive into designing and printing objects that fulfill a purpose both practically AND playfully.
In this workshop we'll discuss how to generate 3D models of simple objects in TinkerCAD and Fusion360* using measuring tools and object conceptualization. We'll then iterate upon these designs with the consideration of end-user needs and 3D printing constraints.
You will also learn how designs are transformed into physical objects using slicer software and 3D printing. I will focus primarily on the Bambu Labs ecosystem for this workshop given its immense popularity, but will briefly discuss other solutions on the market.
My goal with my workshops is to prepare you to design in 3D, and to empower you by bringing your ideas to life with 3D printing. No prior 3D modeling or printing experience is required for this workshop, and I will have exercises that challenge the beginner and intermediate user of these tools.
*Please bring your own laptop with TinkerCAD or Fusion360 installed if you are interested in hands-on experience with these tools. Computers will not be provided.

Welcome to Intro to 3D Modeling and 3D Printing! Are you interested in 3D modeling or 3D printing and are curious about how you might harness this incredibly useful skill for your needs? This workshop is for you!
Come join us at Ramsess Art Garden for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn the basics of creating 3D models and bringing them to life through 3D printing. This specific workshop is geared towards absolute beginners that are curious about the world of 3D technology. Future workshops will build on the topics discussed here and continue the 3D journey with more focused and advanced detail, preparing you to design in 3D and empower you to bring your ideas to life with 3D printing.
In this workshop you'll get an intro to the different 3D modeling software available, how to think about designing in 3D, and be given insights into which software might be best for your needs. You will also see how designs are transformed into physical objects using slicer software and 3D printers. DIY Linocut Workshop (Stamp Making) w/ Piscola Mami
Come learn the skills to create your own stamp with block printing techniques in the heart of Oakland!
During this workshop class... Instructor Antonia will teach you the skills to create custom-stamp by carving into linoleum blocks (rubber block) - All supplies are included! This technique is a beginner-friendly medium for those who are interested in getting into print making- This workshop does not require previous knowledge about linocut. If you are looking for inspiration and the skills to make personalized gifts for family and friends, or if you want to engage in a relaxing hobby that brings you joy, this class is for you!
In this class, students will be introduced to the printmaking process of linocut. The class will cover techniques in carving linoleum and printing. At their own pace, students will learn how to create a design and carve it in linoleum using carving tools. Students will learn how to ink and print their linoleum blocks by hand. In a relaxed and welcoming environment, students will create many beautiful prints that they can later print on the tote bags provided.
Participants are encouraged (but not requiered) to... Bring their own sketch or design they'd like to carve. You can also bring clothing (or other fabrics) you'd like to use your stamp on.
Each ticket includes: 1 linoleum block, a tote bag, access to linocut carving tools, three options of fabric ink, paper, brayers, pencils, pens.
Participants will leave with... One monochromatic print + a tote bag to print their design on.

In this 2 hour workshop, you will learn how to create your custom mirror by adding/building designs using foam clay. Instructor Antonia will teach you the skills to create your own foam clay designs by using sculpting tools- no previous skills are requiered! Each ticket includes supplies: a 10x8 desk mirror, sculpting tools, glue and a variety of colorful clays to choose from.
Participants will leave with their own handcrafted mirror. All materials will be provided by workshop host.

Instructor Antonia will teach you the skills to create your own hand built pottery piece, by coiling, pull pinching and rolling slabs- no previous skills are requiered! Each ticket includes supplies: 2 lbs. of air dry clay and tools to sculpt with. She also will go over best practices on completing your clay practice.

Participants will learn to tie three different macrame knots (square, spiral and gathering) and how to integrate a plant pot to hang successfully. This workshop does not require previous knowledge about macrame. If you are looking for inspiration and the skills to make personalized gifts for family and friends, or if you want to engage in a relaxing hobby that brings you joy, this class is for you!
